Beauty Routine : Favorite Products

Hi everyone!

Today I'm joining a new linkup for the first time: Show and Tell Tuesdays with Momfessionals!  Andrea has so many fun topics, and I had to join in this week.  The topic is Beauty Routines!  If you'll remember, I previously shared my everyday makeup routine, as well as my day to night makeup.

My routine is still more or less the same, so today I'll be sharing my current favorite makeup products.  I have been trying to use up all my products and haven't been shopping much, so I have a lot to say about what I currently have!

P.S. Don't forget to enter my very first giveaway here!  All you have to do is comment on that post telling me why you need to be pampered, and you can win a free facial!

Face

Urban Decay Naked Skin (shade 3.5) : Amazing coverage, but extremely light weight.  My everyday foundation in the summer!

Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous foundation (shade 810-Classic Ivory) : higher coverage, and really buildable if I need more help covering a spot.  Great drugstore foundation.

NARS Radiant Creamy concealer (shade light2- Vanilla) : easy to use and blend in.  Lightweight but covers absolutely everything.  Similar to Maybelline Fit Me concealer, but in my opinion better (and more expensive).

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind concealer (shade brightener) : pink shade to brighten up under eyes.  I love the sponge at the tip- great way to apply product.

IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereyes (shade light) : absolute best product to conceal under eyes.  Really highly pigmented, so use a tiny amount, and rub between your fingers before applying.  Hard to get the hang of, but an absolute game changer.

Eyes

L'Oreal Infallible eye shadow (shade 892- Amber Rush) : gorgeous color for all over the eyes, and stays absolutely all day.

Bare Minerals Glimmer eye shadow (shade Nude Beach) : such a beautiful shade by itself, or combined with a darker shade in the crease.  Not the best format (mineral shadow) but worth the work!

Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor eyshadow (shade Playa del Pink) : my everyday color.  Subtle shimmer that's easy to apply and blend.  Really hydrating on the eyelids and lasts all day.

Kat von D Tattoo liner (shade Trooper) : easiest liquid liner to use...ever... that never fades.

Pixi Endless Silky eye pen (shade black) : really smooth pencil that's perfect for lining the lashes to make them appear fuller.

Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara : makes your lashes look gigantic, but takes getting used to.  The formula is really thick and wet, so I like to wait a week or so after opening to really use it.  Once it's dried out a bit it's amazing.

Maybelline Great Lash BIG mascara (shade blackest black) : perfect mascara for every day- makes your lashes look a bit fuller and longer without looking outrageous.

Lips

e.l.f. lip exfoliator : the absolute best exfoliator I've used for my lips!  This is in lipstick form, so you just apply it like a regular lipstick, and you're left with soft, smooth lips!

MAC Creamsheen lipstick (shade Shy Girl) : perfect nude shade with a great formula.  This is creamy and smooth, and has the best vanilla scent ever.

IT Cosmetics Vitality Lip Flush (shade Je Ne Sais Quoi) : feels smooth and soothing like a balm, but the clear stick transforms on my lips to a perfect pink shade.  It's a different shade on everyone, but the formula is incredible!

Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie lip gloss (shade Rebel) : creamy, smooth lipgloss that looks great on top of any lipstick or on its own! It has a great minty smell.

EOS lip balm : my favorite lip balm.  This one smells minty with a hint of vanilla and leaves my lips perfectly smoothed without too much leftover product.

I can't wait to see what everyone else talks about in their posts!

What are some of your favorite beauty products?
Are you a makeup lover like me, or more of a natural beauty?

  1. I love makeup and beauty products! I have some allergies to some ingredients and avoid parabans too so I try to stick with certain brands to keep my skin looking and feeling the best it can - Dior, Shiseido,Guerlain and some Clinique do the trick every time.

    1. I've never tried any of those brands, but now that I'm buying less I can afford to treat myself a bit more! I'll have to test some out next time I make a Sephora run :)

  2. good to know about the better than ex mascara - i used it a few times and i don't love it, it makes my lashes so clumpy (that could be me) so i'm gonna give it another go now that i've had it awhile. i love that covergirl foundation!

    1. Same here! Every time I get a new one I think I'm going crazy because it looks so bad...but then when it gets to the good point I remember why I love it. Hope it's the same for you!

  3. I am so terrible at makeup! I always WANT to wear some kind of foundation or cover up ( to hide the acne), but I never know how to pick a shade and I'm terrified that I will end up orange so I normally don't wear any. I'm thinking of asking for a shopping trip to Sephora for my birthday so I can get some expert help!
I'm also on the lookout for a new mascara - I used to swear by CoverGirl Lash Blast, but I think they changed their formula because it runs like crazy and then I look like damn raccoon. LOL!! So far, I haven't found any winners

  4. I wish I knew how to apply makeup haha. My mom never wore makeup when I was growing up, so I never learned how to apply it/never really made it part of my daily routine. I always feel so weird when I try to get dressed up for a special event and go to apply makeup. I feel like a three year old playing in my moms beauty bag haha.

  5. I love the Stila eyeliner pen, but I'm curious now about the Kat one! I have huge skin pigment problems so I use a super expensive foundation that I can't remember the name of right now. But I'd die without it!

    1. I've heard lots of good things about Stila as well. I prefer the brush tip on the Kat Von D rather than the felt tip! I think it stays precise longer. I'd love to know what the foundation is that you love if you think of the name!

  6. I love Kat von D's tattoo liner! I just got a sample of the Marc Jacobs one from sephora and it's not nearly as good. I ran out of my KvD, so I'm headed there soon to pick up another one!
