Story Behind the Pic #1

Happy Thursday! Today I'll be joining in a linkup with one of my new favorite blogs- Elle Sees!  I've been loving Elle's blog and all of her amazing beauty reviews, so be sure to check her out.  The linkup is "Story Behind the Pic" - so I'll be sharing a few random pictures and giving you the story behind them.  To learn more about the linkup click here!

I've been to Prague twice so far.  My first time was right after I graduated from college, and I was there during my 22nd birthday.  I found this little spot right outside of the castle (Prazsky Hrad) and loved the view of the city!  When I went back in November a few years later with Dan, I had to find the same spot and get the same picture.  Who knows- maybe I'll be there years later and have a third picture to add!  Prague definitely tops my list of favorite cities in Europe.

In case you don't know, Dan and I are attempting to visit every MLB stadium in the United States.  For my birthday this year, he surprised me with a trip to Philadelphia and New York to cross off two stadiums.  (I swear, these trips just happen to coincide with my birthday!).  I saw this big Phillies Mickey Mouse and had to get a picture, because my mom is a huge fan of Mickey and Minnie Mouse and grew up on the wrong side of the state...the Philly side. This picture was taken on my trip to Europe earlier this year.  Dan and I spent a few days in Malmo, Sweden and stopped in the cutest little coffee shop one day.  It was a house converted into a coffee shop, with tons of rooms to explore and old furniture everywhere.  I can't even tell you how many failed attempts there were for this picture, but in the end I really like how it turned out!  I was channeling my inner European coffee chic look! In 2013, Dan and I took a spontaneous trip with two of my best friends to Cincinnati to see the final Pirates game of the season.  At this point, we were still fighting for a playoff spot, so it was a really exciting and nerve-wrecking trip! (We ended up winning of course).  The night before the game, we went over the Kentucky border to eat at Hofbrauhaus.  Across the restaurant, Dan spots this trophy and says "I bet that's the Calder Cup" (for those of you, like me, who don't know what is- it's the Stanley Cup for the American Hockey League).  I forced Dan to go up to the people and say something, and they were so excited that someone knew what it was that they had us drink beer out of it.  The thing was huge and I ended up spilling most of it on myself, but the experience was so random and I love sharing that story!

    This post is a great idea and I've always wanted to go to Prague! Of course my 12th picture is of food... specifically from the crockpot Thai Chicken recipe I was working on last night!

      Haha that's funny...and it sounds delicious. Hope you post the recipe :) You should definitely go to Prague some time! I'll be writing about it but we got a groupon so it was super cheap!

    Oooo fun idea! My 12th picture back is of me and a blogging friend that I went to visit last weekend. It was a super windy day and we had a hard time keeping our eyes open for the picture lol.

    prague looks so pretty! there are so many places in europe i want to visit its like i should just move there :) we are going to london and paris next year so thats a start! my most recent pictures are all disney since we just got back from the food and wine festival, but im not mad about it!

    I've never seen this linkup before, I totally love it! And I'm really jealous of your Prague visits. My 12th most recent picture was a good (and hysterical) one of my boyfriend riding a shopping cart through the Costco parking lot like a child :-D

    hmmm the 12th last photo in my phone is from last night and it was something i snapped - the big fishbowl of alcohol hahaha. it was great. i would love to go to Prague one day! you definitely have the european chic thing down in that coffee shop photo ;)

Relationship Rules I Broke (and WEDDING PHOTOS!)

Happy Thursday everyone! Today I have a different type of post to share today.  I don't talk about relationships or my dating life much on the blog, but I'm switching it up today!  I got married last Friday, and I thought it would be fun to share some relationship rules that I broke while Dan and I dated. Towpath Half Marathon Recap

Hi everyone and Happy Tuesday!  Today I'll be recapping my race this weekend, the Towpath Half Marathon.  Overall, I had a great experience at the race and would definitely recommend it!  Before I dive into the mile-by-mile recap, I just wanted to give some overall thoughts and reviews of the race as a whole. The Towpath Marathon features three races- a full marathon, half marathon and 10k.  All three races are in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, but all run different courses.  The half and 10k start at the Brandywine Ski Resort, while the full starts at the Boston Mills Ski Resort (where the expo is held). The course is mostly on a narrow crushed limestone trail that is relatively flat.  There are a few sections that were paved and a few small walking bridges that provided the only real inclines.  It's really hard to pass people (particularly near the turn where it's two-way traffic) since the trail is so narrow. Review- Group Power

Happy Weekend everyone!  Today, I'll be doing a review of another group exercise I do at my gym called Group Power !  Let's get right into it. First off, the description in our program guide is "This 60-minute barbell program strengthens all your major muscles in an inspiring, motivating group environment with simple, athletic movements such as squats, lunges, presses and curls." I don't exactly look like this when I'm curling..but you get the idea! Let me tell you, this is one intense workout!  For the entire 60 minutes, we're constantly moving and lifting and by the end I'm a pool of sweat!  We work out all the major muscle groups - Legs, Chest, Triceps, Biceps, Glutes, Shoulders, and Core with light to moderate weights.  We also use a step to do exercises like chest presses and split squats. For each song, we focus on one muscle group, and do a variety of exercises with lots of repetitions, set to the beat of the music.  The tempo of the
