Top Five Friday #50

Happy Friday everyone!  I can't believe this is already the 50th Friday post that I'm sharing.  Pretty big milestone!

This has been such a busy week so I'm just going to drop by quickly to share a few favorites from this week.  I hope you all have a fantastic weekend and I'll see you back here on Monday for some marathon talk!

 This week I could only pick one song as my favorite, because this song completely blew me away.  I have to say it's definitely my favorite of the entire year, and I dont remember the last time that I liked a song this much!  It's seriously amazing and I hope you like it as well!


The Family

I've been catching up on this brand new series, and I'm hooked.  I love shows that are filled with twists and turns and are a bit dark, and this one delivers.  The actors are all fantastic as well.  Definitely a must-watch!


Warmer Weather!

This might be a cop-out, but seriously how amazing is the weather this week!?  Last week Dan and I wanted to do some work on the outside of our house, but it was snowing.  Now, the weather is perfect and it's gorgeous out! We're definitely going to be busy this week, so make sure you're following on Snapchat to see some sneak peeks :)

This is one of my favorite outfits!  Dresses are so easy to throw on, and this one is SO comfortable.  I love to add a bit of color with some floral flats, and this is my all-time favorite necklace!

    I'll be in Pittsburgh this weekend to see the fam and go to a gender reveal shower- also planning on doing some day drinking and pens game watching on Saturday, can't believe how nice it's going to be this weekend!

    I just started/caught up with Quantico. It's not the best acting but it's catchy and I'm hooked. Wow, best song of the year is a big title. Giving it a listen right now :)

    That weather though! It is still a tad chilly here but supposed to be in the 60s this weekend. Hooray! Now just tell that weather of yours to get just a smidge cooler for May 1st and we're good ;-)

    Isn't warm weather amazing? We're getting snow this weekend, but yesterday was 71 degrees. :)) Your dress is gorgeous. :)

    I really like songs where the main instrument is a piano, so thanks for sharing this song!! I've been listening to James Bay a lot lately, although I don't think he falls under "new" music.

    Agree about the weather! It's still pretty cold in the morning for my runs but is beautiful and sunny later on. Perfect for me! Love the floral flats with that dress! Happy weekend!

    Unfortunately every show we love gets canceled so we've basically given up on TV. Ha!

    We're currently watching the final season of House MD (I convinced Jesse to watch it as I used to love it - and then he got so hooked we've watched all eight seasons :P) and then I think we'll be watching Sherlock (another one I've watched a bit of but Jesse hasn't been so keen on - until recently!).

    That dress is super cute! I always feel like I've won the clothing lottery when my favourite outfit is both comfortable and cute :P

Relationship Rules I Broke (and WEDDING PHOTOS!)

Happy Thursday everyone! Today I have a different type of post to share today.  I don't talk about relationships or my dating life much on the blog, but I'm switching it up today!  I got married last Friday, and I thought it would be fun to share some relationship rules that I broke while Dan and I dated. Towpath Half Marathon Recap

Hi everyone and Happy Tuesday!  Today I'll be recapping my race this weekend, the Towpath Half Marathon.  Overall, I had a great experience at the race and would definitely recommend it!  Before I dive into the mile-by-mile recap, I just wanted to give some overall thoughts and reviews of the race as a whole. The Towpath Marathon features three races- a full marathon, half marathon and 10k.  All three races are in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, but all run different courses.  The half and 10k start at the Brandywine Ski Resort, while the full starts at the Boston Mills Ski Resort (where the expo is held). The course is mostly on a narrow crushed limestone trail that is relatively flat.  There are a few sections that were paved and a few small walking bridges that provided the only real inclines.  It's really hard to pass people (particularly near the turn where it's two-way traffic) since the trail is so narrow. Review- Group Power

Happy Weekend everyone!  Today, I'll be doing a review of another group exercise I do at my gym called Group Power !  Let's get right into it. First off, the description in our program guide is "This 60-minute barbell program strengthens all your major muscles in an inspiring, motivating group environment with simple, athletic movements such as squats, lunges, presses and curls." I don't exactly look like this when I'm curling..but you get the idea! Let me tell you, this is one intense workout!  For the entire 60 minutes, we're constantly moving and lifting and by the end I'm a pool of sweat!  We work out all the major muscle groups - Legs, Chest, Triceps, Biceps, Glutes, Shoulders, and Core with light to moderate weights.  We also use a step to do exercises like chest presses and split squats. For each song, we focus on one muscle group, and do a variety of exercises with lots of repetitions, set to the beat of the music.  The tempo of the
