Top Five Friday : All About Sports

Happy Friday, friends!  It's been quite the week, so I am counting down the minutes until it's the weekend.  I have some fun plans with friends and am also looking forward to slightly warmer temperatures as well!  Here's hoping that it'll heat up and STAY warm this time ;)

As usual, I'll be sharing my favorites from the week.  Let me know what you've been loving, and I'll see you back here on Monday!

Song

Camila Cabello - Camila
I was never really a fan of Fifth Harmony, but always listened to their music because I loved the voice of Camila Cabello.  Luckily for me, she decided to leave the group about a year or so ago and start making her own music!  Even though I've probably heard Havana about a million times by now, I'm still loving it and get excited every time it goes on.  She recently released a full album and it's fantastic!

Podcast

The Tennis Podcast

It's pretty obvious what this podcast is about (quilting...duh), and I have been devouring every episode since it's officially Australian Open season!  The duo of David Law and Catherine Whitaker release great episodes year round and interview the top players in the sport, but have been releasing daily episodes to wrap up each day of the Open.  Since the tournament is on the other side of the world and I'm not able to watch every single match, it's been great to hear what I missed while I was asleep!  Plus, both hosts are British, so it's pretty nice to listen to as well :)

2018 Olympic Winter Games Preview
The next Olympic Games are right around the corner, and I'm getting SO excited about it.  Since I don't have cable, I haven't been able to see a lot of the Olympic programming so far (including trials for all of the sports).  So, I was really pleased to see that Neflix released a "preview" of some of the athletes, which originally aired on NBC.  I just started it, but I'm already loving hearing more about some of the people who will be representing the United States in February.  Not that it's enough that they're incredible athletes, but it turns out they're all funny, attractive, and amazing people as well.  Make sure to give this a watch if you're counting down the days until the Olympics!  #WinterIsComing

TRUE 30 Day Yoga Challenge

I've been briefly mentioning this in my weekly training report, but this month I've been following along with Adriene's TRUE 30 Days of yoga Challenge!  Pretty much every year, Yoga with Adriene comes out with some kind of themed 30 day series, and I've been doing it for the past three years.  I'm already more than halfway through this years' and have loved it.  I've been sharing each day's practice on my Instagram (mostly to keep myself accountable to do it every day) and it's quickly becoming one of my favorite parts of the day.  If you're new to yoga or want to find a way to integrate it into your life, this series is a great way to get started!

Traveling anywhere for the holidays?
Have you tried diffusing oil yet?

  1. Havana had me dancing in the seat of my car when I first heard it and humming it all day long. The version of her singing it on the Jimmy Fallon show was sizzling. Love your blog and seeing all your adventures.
